Shakib Al Hasan will be released from the ICC ban on October 29. But before going back to cricket, there was a lot of interest in the T20 tournament with one of the world’s all-rounders. So before returning, the Bangladeshi star has been named in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) auction.
This time, the first T20 tournament will be in Sri Lanka. The inaugural event auction will take place on October 1. Sri Lanka has included 150 international cricketers for this. Shakib is among them. There are also stars like Chris Gayle, Darren Sammy, Darren Bravo, Shahid Afridi.
In the first round, each team will be able to field six foreign players. Local players can carry 13 people. In total, each team will form a team of 19 people.
The tournament was scheduled for last August. But thanks to Corona, the inaugural event will take place on November 14. A total of 23 games will be played at the three venues in Dambulla, Pallekele and Hambantota.
Shakib was suspended for two years for concealing the offer to repair. Subsequently it is reduced to one year. His ban expires in October. He’s looking forward to getting back to cricket. Shakib has already started personal practice at BKSP prior to the Sri Lanka series. One of the world’s all-rounders could have a chance in the second round of the next series against Sri Lanka.
