A student at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SHUU) committed suicide by hanging himself after posting his status on Facebook. His name is Asiya Akhter.
The incident took place in the village of Mathura at the Sadar de Bogra police station around 4am on Thursday. Members of his family speculate that the suicide may have occurred out of love.

He wrote on the Facebook status: ‘If anyone ever gets in trouble with my usage, please forgive me. Because nobody knows when death comes to the door; God will keep everyone okay. ‘
Ashiya’s brother Al Amin said, “I sat on the veranda and studied until 12:30 pm and went to my room around 1:00 pm and fell asleep.” Later, the mother woke up to see Fajr’s prayers and saw Asiya hanging from her neck. Later we left him and arrived at the police station.

It should be noted that in the past three months, two students from the Bangladesh department have chosen the path of suicide. Earlier on August 8, Torabi Binte Haq, a sophomore, committed suicide by hanging herself with her mother in her own home.
