Police collected several samples after performing an autopsy on the body to unravel the mystery of the murder or suicide. These bodies are usually cut in the dome room. However, the Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has found evidence that a Dom named Munna Bhakta (20) has taken this opportunity to satisfy his sexual desire. Munna was arrested in the incident on Thursday.
CID Additional Deputy Inspector General Syed Rezaul Haider told reporters on Friday that Munna Bhakta was mentally deranged. My idea is that Munna has a mental illness. He also admitted to the incident after his arrest.
A source in charge of the CID said that through DNA testing, the CID found the sperm of a person in the bodies of at least five young women. The bodies of the 11 to 20-year-old girls were taken to the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. After receiving this information, the CID officials began investigating the incident.
Sources further said that CID initially obtained information that sperm from the same person was found in the body of some young women. Officials involved in the investigation at the time thought that the bodies may have been linked to a serial killer, as they were in a nearby area. But after contacting the families of the dead girls, it emerged that none of them had been raped. The CID then launched a more thorough investigation.
Another CID source said that from March 2019 to August this year, the presence of a man’s sperm was found in some samples from the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue. The DNA lab then creates a complete profile of the collected symptoms. All the bodies come from the Mohammadpur and Kafrul police stations. The CID then found out who was in charge while the bodies were in the Dom room. Munna’s movements are then monitored and at one point they find evidence that Munna has had sexual relations with dead young women. Then he was arrested yesterday.
A senior official in the Suhrawardy Hospital forensic medicine department told NTV Online, on condition of anonymity, that Dom worked as a medical examiner’s assistant at the Lashkata home. They couldn’t have imagined that something so horrible would happen in this morgue. This sexual relationship with corpses is the work of a kind of mental patient. In medical terms, it is called “necrophilia.” There are many examples of such perverted incidents in the world.
The Munna Bhakta village house is in the Goalanda Ghat area of Rajbari. He has been working in the Suhrawardy Hospital morgue with his uncle Kumar Lal since 2016.
Kumar Lal told NTV Online: ‘I never thought Munna would do something like that. Munna often slept in the living corpses. He also used to get drunk occasionally. I’ve had a lot of fights with him about this. Munna has not been available since last Wednesday. Yesterday I made a general diary (GD) at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station. I heard at night that Munna has been arrested.
