The Minister of Liberation War Affairs, AKM Mozammel Haque, has called on Haqqani scholars to fulfill their religious responsibilities on the subject of sculpture. Asking them not to remain silent, the minister said: “You will not remain silent. Haqqani scholars introduce themselves as Nayeb Rasool, they say the right thing. Sculpture is not forbidden in Islam, tell the nation. If scholars do not speak , people will assume that Islam gives itself over to militancy. So Haqqani scholars must come forward. ”
The minister spoke as the main guest at a memorial rally for playwright Ali Jaker and footballer Badal Roy at the capital’s National Press Club on Wednesday. The Bangabandhu Cultural Alliance organized the rally.
AQM Mozammel Haque said: “There are sculptures in every Muslim country in the world. Even the three Islamic states, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, have many sculptures. I will ask the government to show the sculptures of all the countries of the world inhabited by Muslims to the people through television. Collect all the sculptures and distribute them around the embassy. Then people will understand the real facts. ‘
Warning, the Minister of the Liberation War said: ‘Religious merchants have to pull out their poisonous teeth. Religion was not leased to some people. Scholars of Haqqani, you speak. Otherwise, religious merchants will have more opportunities. How many places have sculptures, no one has said anything for so long. Suddenly they are talking about it. How much has been your audacity. However, Karimuddin has shown boldness not with Salimuddin but with Bangabandhu. Now is the time to remove the poisoned teeth.
‘What is your agenda? There is only one agenda. When they saw that Sheikh Hasina was successfully running the state, they brought the issue to the fore. Today the existence of the nation, the consciousness of the war of liberation is threatened. The constitution has been affected. Let’s fight as one. The sons of Bangabandhu united and fought against the evil forces of the so-called religious merchants. What they have said about Bangabandhu has committed an unforgivable crime. If the statement is not withdrawn, then you know what to do. Be careful. ‘
Lion Gani Mia Babul, MA Karim, freedom fighter Shafiqul Bahar Tipu, Arun Sarkar Rana and others also spoke under the chairmanship of Chitta Ranjan Das, advisor to the Bangabandhu Cultural Alliance.
