An eighth-class student was raped while presenting an assignment at a school in Habiganj’s Chunarughat.
The schoolgirl’s mother filed a lawsuit against the two college students at the Chunarughat police station on Friday.
The defendants in the case are Jisan Sarkar, 22, the son of Abdul Qayyum Sarkar from the village of Uttar Pakuria in upazila and his friend Rabbi, 20, from the same village.
The schoolgirl’s father complained that Jisan Sarkar had a love affair with his daughter. The student was returning home after turning in her homework at 1.30 pm on Thursday. At that time, Jisan took her to an abandoned house adjacent to the university and raped her. At that time, Jisan’s friend, the rabbi, cooperated in the rape.
When the schoolgirl became ill after returning home, she informed relatives. Later, she (a schoolgirl) was given first aid at the Upazila Health Complex.
Chunarughat OC police said. Ali Ashraf said that after receiving the news, the police visited the scene. The girl had a love affair with the boy. A case has been registered in this regard and the girl underwent a medical examination today (Friday).
