The crown of a 12-year-old boy was reported to be negative after a sample test at the 300-bed Khanpur Hospital in Narayanganj. Later the same day, her crown was reported to be positive again. However, five other members of the teenager’s family tested negative. According to the family, he has no symptoms of a crown. On Sunday (May 10) at noon, the district’s health department called the teen’s family and informed them of the two results.
The teenager lives with his family in the Chashara area of the city. Family members said six family members, including the 12-year-old boy, sent samples to the PCR lab at the 300-bed Khanpur Hospital on Saturday. He called Sunday and said the teenager’s crown was negative. He was later informed by telephone that his crown was positive. However, the results of others in the family are negative.
When contacted at the hospital, the teenager was again asked to go to the hospital on Monday for a sample.
When contacted, Narayanganj Sadar Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Zahidul Islam said: “I have come to know about the matter.” Later, when he reported to the hospital’s resident medical officer, he confirmed that the baby was crown positive.
Samsuddoha Sanchay, the caretaker of the 300-bed Khanpur hospital in the city, said there were some problems with the boy’s report. However, the laboratory virologist has confirmed that the baby is crown positive. Two types of reports come from typing errors when preparing the report. However, five members of the child’s family are not negative. Then the baby’s sample will be analyzed again.
