In the Sri Lankan Premier League (LPL) on Saturday, Russell hit fifty of 14 balls against the Gladiators for the Colombo Kings. This is the third fastest fifty cricket in 20 overs.

This is the first time that fifty balls under 20 have been played in Sri Lanka. Gaul captain Shahid Afridi hit fifty of 20 balls against the Jaffna Stallions in the LPL on Friday.

The duration of the match was shortened to five overs due to the rain at Hambantota. Russell, who fell in the opening, was unable to run off Pakistani fastball Mohammad Amir’s first pitch. The next five balls hit two sixes with three fours. 26 runs came in the first over with two widths.

In the next over, she hit Asitha Fernando on a six and then hit three fours in a row. In the fourth over, Aamir completed all fifty by hitting four with the third man. In the last final, Afridi’s ball brought the team’s collection to one hundred in four six.

Russell was undefeated on 75 of 19 balls with 9 fours and 4 sixes. Colombo had 96 runs for 1 wicket in five overs. In response, he could only score 72 runs for 2 wickets. Colombo won by 34 races.

Russell’s previous fifty fastest in the T20 were in the IPL. In 2015, he hit 19 balls for Eden Gardens against Kolkata Knight Riders against Kings XI Punjab.

In this version, there are three people with the 12 fastest balls. One has 13 balls. Russell and nine others hit fifty on 14 balls.
