Russell-Chittagong Abahani meet in the quarterfinals on Friday

The quarterfinals of the Football Federation Cup will begin on Friday with the match between Sheikh Russell Sports Club and Chittagong Abahani. The match will start at the Bangabandhu National Stadium at 4pm. The four quarterfinals will be in four days.

The Federation Cup started with 13 teams from the Bangladesh Premier League. Bashundhara Kings, Abahani, Mohammedan, Sheikh Russell Krira Chakra, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, Chittagong Abahani, Saif Sporting Club and Uttar Baridhara Club led the group stage. Brothers Union, Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra, Arambagh Krira Sangha, Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society and Bangladesh Police Football Club have been left out.

Saif Sporting Club and Mohammedan will play the second quarter-final on Saturday, Bashundhara Kings and Sheikh Jamal will meet in the third quarter-final on Sunday and Abahani and Uttar Baridhara Club will play the last quarter-final on Monday.

Group D champion Abahani will play Group B runner-up North Baridhara Club in the quarter-finals on January 4. Semifinals Federation Cup, January 7 and 8. The first tournament of the season will end on January 10 with the final.
