A scammer named Zahidur Rahman Iqbal has cheated millions of rupees by sending a letter containing the Prime Minister’s message to 40,000 companies saying to plant trees in the year of Mujib. He introduced himself as ‘Banabandhu’. Tejgaon (DC) Division Deputy Commissioner Harun-ur-Rashid made the remarks at a press conference at his office on Wednesday (February 24) at noon. He said that not only this fraud, but also scammers have taken hundreds of thousands of rupees from countless people promising to get loans from banks.
“}”>DC Harun-ur-Rashid said: “Zahidur Rahman Iqbal has been cheating in the Kawran Bazar area for the past 30 years. He used to run as president of an organization called the Zahidur Tree Plantation. Their main deception today is using the Mujibvarsha logo and the Prime Minister’s words by illegally making and keeping stamps. He has written letters to some 40,000 companies. Through this, he has illegally taken money from them. He claims to be the Chairman and CEO of three illegal companies called Consultant Group Limited, SME Consultant Limited, EEF Consultant Limited. Iqbal was unable to show any valid documents from these companies. In addition, he has embezzled money by promising to obtain various loans by breaking the name of the Bank of Bangladesh.

Or you did it for free. We will send it to court and request pretrial detention. If you are in custody, it will be understood how many people you have taken money from.
“}”>The police seized 260 stamps, 184 document processing files from various organizations, 500 letters with the Mujib logo and the PM letter, two CPUs, two printers, a scanner, two monitors, a laptop, two mobile phones and a Toyota Corolla.
