The Rohingya leaders are playing a silent role despite the fact that they are supposed to return to the camp after visiting Bhasanchar and inform and inspire general Rohingya about the surroundings of Bhasanchar. Sources said these Rohingya leaders dare not open their mouths, especially for fear of armed Rohingya terrorists in the camps.
The 40 Rohingya members, who returned from a visit to Bhasanchar on Tuesday afternoon, were supposed to visit their respective camps and brief them on the facilities and infrastructure, but did not speak with a single Rohingya until Wednesday afternoon.
A Rohingya leader from Balukhali Camp No. 1, who did not want to be named after visiting Bhasanchar, said: “We have visited Bhasanchar with the help of the government of Bangladesh.” I saw the atmosphere there. Good to see the housing project built for the Rohingya. However, there is no situation to explain to the Rohingya about returning to the camp. Because armed Rohingya terrorists constantly put pressure on the camp.
“Even though a day has passed since the visit to Bhasanchar, no Rohingya have expressed interest in obtaining information from us,” he said.
Nur Alam, a member of the Rohingya delegation, also said that the general atmosphere was good after visiting the dams around Bhasanchar. We liked the infrastructure built by the government for the Rohingya there. But it is up to ordinary Rohingya to go there.
Many of those who visited Bhasanchar on Wednesday were asked their opinion but declined to be named, while others avoided the topic. Many turned off their mobile phones.

In this regard, Refugee Aid and Repatriation Commissioner Mahbub Alam Talukder said that Rohingya leaders who visited Bhasanchar would explain to the Rohingya living in the camps about the environment there. In this case, 100% Rohingya may not agree to go to Bhasanchar. However, no one will be sent by force. There are plans to send one lakh of Rohingya to Bhasanchar soon.
He said he did not know that the Rohingya could not visit Bhasanchar.
Abu Saleh Mohammad Obaidullah, in charge of camps 6, 9 and 10, said that he had not yet received any information about the obstruction of ordinary Rohingya from going to Bhasanchar. Legal action will be taken if information is received.
It is worth mentioning that last Saturday 40 Rohingya leaders were brought to Bhasanchar from Ukhia-Teknaf through the mediation of the army. At the time, other repatriation and refugee relief officials were present, including the navy and the police.
