In Dighinala in Khagrachhari on Sunday morning, a faction of the BCL rejected the committee of Upazila BCL and Dighinala Government Degree College BCL and vandalized roads and tourist vehicles. Subsequently, the police pursued the BCL leaders and activists and dispersed them. Police arrested three BCL leaders from the Bangabandhu Chattar area at the time. Later, under the watchful eye of the police, the movement of vehicles normalized. After the incident, the Upazila Awami League sat down in an emergency meeting.

Speaking with the police and BCL leaders and activists, it emerged that the district’s BCL announced the Dighinala Upazila Committee and the Dighinala Government Grade University Committee via a press release on Saturday night. After hearing the news of the committee’s formation, a section of the BCL protested the burning of tires on the road in the Plaza Larma area during the night. They asked for a lockdown this morning and tonight. Chhatra League leaders and activists destroyed a vehicle in the Larma square area on the way to Sajek at 8:30 am. At that time the police chased and dispersed them.

Later, the police arrested Rubel Chakraborty Babu, former president of Dighinala Government Degree College BCL, Apu Chowdhury, vice president of the recently announced committee of Upazila BCL, and Aminul Islam Shant, secretary of the Bangabandhu Chattar area office.
