About two months later, BNP Deputy General Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi arrived at the party’s headquarters in Naya Paltan. He arrived at the central office at 10:30 am on Thursday. Rizvi sat very slowly in his office on the third floor with a stick in hand. Kushal exchanged views with the clerks. He asked about his physical condition and his family.
Suddenly, Asata arrived at his office and a torrent of joy flowed through the office workers. Some nearby leaders and activists rushed to see their favorite leader. They entered the room behind the mask and saluted.
Rizvi is seen reminiscing about those days of his illness while sitting in a backyard meeting with office workers.
“I feel so much better now,” he said. I have to be very careful after wearing the ring. What I’ve never done before. There is no accounting for how many places I have been during this time.
When asked if he would come every day, Rizvi said, “I will try to go to the office now if my body is that good.”
He said, “I am grateful to the people at home and abroad, including my followers and supporters, who have prayed, observed Milad, fasted and prayed for my recovery.” God keep everyone healthy, keep them in custody.
The last deputy general secretary of BNP took office in Naya Paltan on November 12. The next day, he got into his car after participating in a Human Network program of the Nationalist Workers Party in front of the National Press Club and suffered a heart attack. Later, Rizvi admitted him to Lab Aid Hospital.
On November 21, a ring was implanted in his heart using angioplasts. After recovering for four days, he returned home to Mohammadpur. On December 3, Rizvi’s wife, Arjuman Ara Begum, and her sister-in-law Tahmina Begum tested positive for corona.
He is currently in another house due to his wife being infected with corona.
Rizvi said his wife and sister-in-law are healthy and have no symptoms. They are under the close observation of doctors.
