Request for permission to file a sedition case against Mamunul and Babungari Gang

Mamunul and BabungariAn application for permission to bring a sedition case has been filed against Maulana Mamunul Haque and Junaid Babungari Gang for insulting, unacceptable and arrogant statements and activities, including the demolition of the sculpture of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

According to the petition, Maulana Mamunul Haque, leader of Khilafah Majlis, harshly criticized the creation of the sculpture of the Father of the Bangabandhu Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at a function in Dhaka on November 13. He warned the government that if it did not back down in its plan to build the sculpture, it would cause another incident at Shapla Chattar and throw the sculpture away. On the other hand, Amir Junaid Babungari from Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh said at a meeting in Hathazari in Chittagong on the night of November 26 that if any sculpture is made, it will be dragged away. His arrogant statements have been widely published and published in various national newspapers and electronic media in recent days. Following in the footsteps of his arrogant statement, his followers smashed the right hand and part of the entire face of the sculpture under construction in Kushtia on the night of December 4 by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the nation recognized by the Constitution of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
The petition further states that the attack on the sculpture of the Father of the Bangabandhu Nation, recognized by the Constitution of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, amounts to a conspiracy against a state called Bangladesh. The evildoers struck the Bangabandhu sculpture with the direct help of Maulana Mamunul Haque and Junaid Babungari. Which is insulting, unacceptable to the people of Bangladesh and their arrogant statements and activities have been made with the malicious intention of creating disgust and hatred towards the government of Bangladesh. Therefore, Maulana Mamunul Haque Gang has committed an offense punishable by articles 123, 124A and 505 of the Penal Code. Which will be considered as a crime of sedition, that is, as a Bengali patriot inspired by the spirit and ideology of the war of independence and liberation, Maulana Mamunul Haque is interested in presenting a case against Ganges in the previous section.
Therefore, in said request, in accordance with the provisions of article 197 of the Criminal Procedure Code, the approval of the government is required as a prior condition to hear the charge of sedition, for which the attorney Md. favor of Zeeshan Mahmud.
