The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has allowed the president of the JMI group, Abdur Razzak, who was arrested in a case of supplying poor health equipment, including masks and PPE, to remain in custody for five days for questioning. The commission’s deputy director, Nurul Huda, presented the case against seven people, including Razzak, at the ACC’s integrated district office in Dhaka-1 on Tuesday morning. The first protest after the supply of these fake masks came from the General Hospital of Mugda. A hospital director questioned the quality of the fake N-95 mask and filed a written complaint with the Ministry of Health. But the Ministry of Health was not aware of these issues. When the news about this was published in various media, CMSD protested on behalf of the supplier company. Even those who would criticize him were threatened with lawsuits under the ICT Law.
