Khoshed Ali Fakir’s wife, identified as Khihali Chakpara village at the Gobindpur junction of Dupchanchia in Bogra, has a disaster tolerant government house. Local freedom fighters have expressed their anger. A freedom fighter named Abdul Salam has written to the deputy commissioner seeking redress in this regard.

On Friday (October 23), Belal Hossain, a member of the 5th district of the Gobindpur Union, the president of the project, claimed that the administration people and the president had forced Molina Bewa, Razakar’s wife, to give him a house of government.

Dupchanchia Upazila Nirbahi’s officer, SM Zakir Hossain, said she was given a house because she was poor without knowing her husband’s prior condition. His statement could not be obtained because there were no male members in Khudu Razakar’s household.

Abdus Salam, a heroic freedom fighter from the village of Khihali Chakpara in the union of Gobindpur, complained that there were many poor people in the village. But Razakar Khudur’s wife received a government house. The people of the liberation war, including him, are saddened and angry. He requested that legal action be taken against those responsible for the investigation.

According to the locals, the Razakar Khudur family is self-sufficient. They have gotten government houses through heavy lobbying by hiding property assets and information. Behind this there are also officials and workers of the ruling party. At present, a brick wall is being built to hide the house.

In this regard, Belal Hossain, member of Gobindpur Union District No. 5, Chairperson of the Disaster Resilient Housing Project, said that he was a self-identified Muslim League Razakar. At the end of the war, the freedom fighters killed him. Razakar’s wife, Molina Bewa, was listed for a government house. He didn’t sign it for about a month. He was later forced to sign under pressure from people in the administration and his union president SM Helal Monwar.

Monowar, president of the Gobindpur Union, said he was born after independence. So he doesn’t know if Khudu was a Razakar or not. Besides this list, he did not; He did not pressure anyone to do so.

Dupchanchia Upazila project implementation officer Ashraful Arefin said 16 disaster tolerant houses were provided in upazila in the last fiscal year 2019-20. It is not known if Molina Bewar’s husband was anti-independent in 1971. His family was given the house because he asked to be poor.

The district’s relief and rehabilitation officer, Azahar Ali Mandal, said Razakar’s family could not get government houses. He did not receive any complaint in this regard. If any complaints are received, action will be taken after the investigation.

Dupchanchia Upazila Nirbahi’s officer, SM Zakir Hossain, said he did not know anything about Molina Bewar’s husband. Looking at the current situation, you have been given a house.
