A fifth grader has been charged with rape and videotaping keeping a fifth grader in a secret room for two and a half months to enter a low-cost madrassa. The RAB-1 members arrested the teacher named Asaduzzaman (35). He is the son of Mubarak Ali from the village of Uttar Betkashi in Kasba upazila of the Khulna district. He was arrested at 8:30 pm on Thursday (October 15) in the South Salna area of Gazipur.
The victim’s father filed a case at the Sreepur Police Station on Friday (October 18) morning. RAB-1 Gazipur Porabari camp run by Lt. Commander Abdullah Al Mamun confirmed the incident.
Lieutenant Commander Abdullah Al Mamun said the teacher lured the family and took the girl from the Dakshin Salna area of the Gazipur metropolis to Dhaladia from the Rajabari union of Sreepur upazila on August 2. He was later detained in a secret room in the area without being admitted to Dhaladia Madrasa and had been recording rape and rape videos for two and a half months.
The victim’s father wanted to know about his daughter’s whereabouts on the teacher’s mobile phone at different times. The father suspects that the daughter did not return home even after two and a half months. She went to the Dhaladia Women’s Madrasa to see her daughter and found out that her daughter was not admitted to that Madrasa. She learns that the teacher has been raping her daughter day after day by detaining her in a secret room in the Dhaladia area and threatening to kill her. Later, the father lodged a written complaint at the RAB-1 Gazipur Porabari camp seeking help to rescue his daughter.
The RAB members then raided and arrested the teacher from the South Salna area of Gazipur. The girl was subsequently rescued from a closed secret house in Dhaladia of Sreepur upazila on the basis of information provided by her. The accused is a teacher from the Dhaladia Women’s Madrasa and his wife and two children. The girl’s father has filed a rape case against the teacher at Sreepur Police Station.
