Police arrested two young men for raping the wife of an expatriate in Faridganj, Chandpur. Yasin Hossain and Md. From the Keroa area of Faridganj Township on Thursday noon. The police arrested the two named Raja. However, the main defendant involved in the incident, Masum Hossain, escaped.
According to the file, the housewife, the wife of a Saudi expatriate from the Keroa area, left the house on the night of August 20. At that time Masum Hossain (28), Yasin Hossain (23) and Md. The king (22) took him hostage at gunpoint. At one point, Masum Hossain raped the housewife by laying her on the floor. Between them, Yasin Hossain recorded the video of the incident on his mobile phone and Md. The king was guarding the scene.
After the incident, the young men threatened to rape her. If someone finds out about the rape, the video recorded on the mobile phone will be broadcast on social media, they said. The day after the incident, the raped housewife (23) filed a case under the Abuse of Women and Children Act at the Faridganj Police Station accusing the three defendants.
Faridganj Police Officer in Charge (CO) Abdur Rakib said the defendant had attempted to sexually harass the housewife more than once prior to the incident. When the expat husband complained about this, they got angry and sparked the incident. The housewife also made such a complaint to the police.
The police were unable to arrest Masum Hossain because he was directly involved in the rape. OC Abdur Rakib said that efforts were being made to arrest him as well.
