On the afternoon of October 3, Abdul Mannan Sardar, a neighbor, took her home and raped her. That same night, the girl’s uncle filed a lawsuit against Abdul Mannan at the Mongla Police Station and the police arrested him.

The investigating officer in the case, the Mongla SI Biswajit Mukherjee Police Station, filed the charge sheet in court on 11 October.

Gopal Chandra Pal, bench clerk at Bagerhat Abuse Abuse of Women and Children Court 2, said the case was framed on October 12. On October 13 the testimony of 16 plaintiff’s witnesses was taken. On October 14, the testimony of doctors, judicial magistrates, policewomen and the investigator of the case was taken. On October 15, the defense declared in defense of the accused.

State attorney APP Ranjit Kumar Mandal said that the Women and Children Abuse Prevention Act stipulates that if the defendant is immediately caught in a rape case, the trial can be completed within 15 working days. This case of child rape is proof of that.
