The rape happened again in that Delhi. This time a 6-year-old woman was the victim of the rapist’s lust. The hellish incident took place in the Chawla area, southwest of Delhi.
Delhi police arrested a 36-year-old man named Sonu on charges of raping an 86-year-old woman. The home of the arrested youth is in the Reola Khanpur area of Delhi.
According to police sources, the old woman was returning home from a nearby town on Monday night. At that time, Sonu picked up the old woman on her motorcycle in the name of delivering her home. He works as a mechanic by profession. Sonu then took her to a secluded spot on the side of the road and brutally tortured her.
The police have registered the statement of the tortured old woman. Her medical examination has also been carried out. Santosh Kumar Meena, Deputy Police Commissioner in the Dwarka area of Delhi, said that a case had been filed at Chawla Police Station under section 37 (violation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on the basis of complaints of torture.
The tortured elderly woman said in a police statement that she was waiting on the side of the road for a milkmaid before returning to her village on Monday afternoon. At that moment she met the young man. The young man said, the milkman will not come on this day; But there is a place nearby, where you can get milk. Sonu then picked up the old woman on her bike and headed to a farm on the side of the road. There she raped the old woman. The old woman made many requests of the young man. However, it did not save her. Sonu even hit the old woman when she was interrupted.
Then the villagers heard the old woman cry and rescued her in a bloody state. The old woman fell ill from the rape. He was admitted to the hospital. However, the elderly woman was released from the hospital on Tuesday night as her condition was stable.
Swati Maliwal, director of the Delhi Women’s Commission, met the tortured old woman. Swati said the case should be taken to court soon and the verdict should be announced within the next six months.
