According to the police, Raju’s body was recovered from the toilet tank of the house under construction last Sunday night. His mother Aruna Rani Saha filed a case against the unidentified people on Monday. Police arrested Jasim from Kadirdi Charpara in Rajbari’s Boalmari upazila on Tuesday morning. Jasim then confessed to the police that he had killed Raju. A press conference was held at the office of the Police Superintendent (SP) at noon.
Jasim was quoted at the press conference as saying that Raju and Jasim loved the same young woman. There was a conflict between them. Without that, Jasim’s wife has no children. You need money for this. When Jasim asked for money for house work, Raju said, the house work was turned over to the contractor by contract. So it is not possible for Raju to give money to Jasim. Jasim was upset.
Tiri planned to kill Raju for those two reasons. Raju spent the night with him in the building under construction last Saturday. At that moment Jasim killed Raju with an angle of iron. After the murder, Jasim fled with two gold rings, a bracelet, and two cell phones in Raju’s hand. According to the information he provided after the arrest, they have been recovered.
Madhukhali (SI) Police Station Inspector Farhad Hossain, the investigating officer in the case, said Wednesday that Jasim had given the information in his statement to the court.
