Dhaka: I used to make obscene gestures on Facebook. Roasting and trolling used to humiliate different people. It is also mocking the traditional forces of law and order in the country. Raihan, who claimed that he did not care about any kind of case, was eventually arrested by the RAB.
‘Raihan Bhai’ alias Raihan Alam is said to have suddenly gone viral on Facebook. The 25-year-old quickly went viral after appearing on Facebook and smoking, behaving violently, displaying obscene gestures, and making obscene comments on behalf of various people.
The problem came to the attention of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) cyber team when discussions took place in various Facebook-based volunteer groups. Although he was verbally warned about this, Raihan did not stop.
Rather, the police made controversial comments about the live RAB. He also threatened employers of various voluntary organizations. Raihan also said that they are socially degraded. Raihan came live last Sunday (May 10) and said, “Hey, what’s up? This isn’t in my dictionary.” Am I afraid of the police?
Not only this, there are allegations that Raihan is involved in serious crimes such as catching and blackmailing women. Following the allegations, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Raihan in the early hours of Monday (May 11).
Raihan (25) is known to have studied a BBS course at a university. But at this point he did nothing. He lived with his family in a house in West Shewrapara.
Raihan’s activities have been monitored for some time based on specific allegations against him. Finally, after several days of trying, Raihan’s position was confirmed and RAB-2 arrested him from his home in Shewra for Monday morning.
According to sources, Raihan had long been using various social media to come to life and carry out various criminal activities, including obscene gestures, harassing women, catching women and blackmailing. In the middle of the night, Raihan’s regular activities were making several offensive comments to law enforcement agencies, including sarcasm.
Huge amounts of photos, pornographic videos and screenshots of offensive chats with women from Raihan’s mobile phones and computers have been recovered. With which women have been blackmailed at different times and these are provided for future blackmail.
Moniruzzaman, additional police superintendent of RAB-2, told banglanews that RAB arrested Raihan who went viral via social media due to offensive content. After several days of trying, he was arrested from his home in Shewrapara on specific charges.
The case is being processed under the Digital Security Law and the Pornography Law against Raihan, who did not bring the case to court.
The RAB official advised all parents to care for their children. He said parents should investigate whether a child is involved in a cybercrime through a laptop or mobile phone.
