26 people, including men and women, were arrested at this spa center in Gulshan
Dhaka: Police arrested 26 people accused of prostitution in a raid on a spa center on Gulshan-2 in the capital. There are 12 men and 16 women.
They were arrested Sunday night (September 20) at the Apple Thai Spa Center at 12 / C, 105 Road, Gulshan-2. The operation was carried out from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Gulshan Division Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sudip Kumar Chakraborty, confirmed the matter to banglanews.
He said the spa center was carrying out illegal activities of prostitution, sexual exploitation and harassment by bringing together girls and women from different parts of the country.
He said the center was used for prostitution in the name of the spa. They have been doing these illegal activities for a long time. What is pushing the young society towards destruction.
The arrested defendant confessed to prostitution during preliminary questioning. He also said that the police had filed a case against them at the Gulshan Police Station under the Prevention of Human Trafficking Act.
