The solution is still elusive. Farmers protesting in India went on hunger strike all day. They said they did a symbolic fast from 8 am to 5 pm on Monday. If this doesn’t work, they will go on a continuous hunger strike. A hunger strike has started on the border between Delhi and Haryana. Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has supported the farmers’ hunger strike. He also told the media that he has started a hunger strike with farmers.

It has been almost two weeks since farmers practically closed the Delhi border. The peasant movement in Punjab and part of Haryana started two months ago in protest of the recent farm law. They moved to the Delhi border a couple of weeks ago. They have blocked almost all the borders of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh at the Delhi border. They are protesting in the streets this winter. Meanwhile, they have had several meetings with the central government. But the solution formula did not match. The government is not willing to repeal the law, farmers are also inflexible in their demands. The movement is led by 33 farmer organizations across the country. Hundreds of thousands of farmers have joined. As the government made no promises, peasant leaders decided Sunday to go on a hunger strike from 8 am to 5 pm on Monday. After which Arvind Kejriwal reported that he will also go on a hunger strike. The farmers are threatened, if the government does not accept their demands, then a continuous hunger strike will begin. However, they said the move would be peaceful.

Union Interior Minister Amit Shah also met with the Agriculture Minister on Monday afternoon. Sources said the meeting discussed how to stop the movement of farmers, how far the Center can bow its head. The government, however, did not inform the media about this. On the other hand, many mass organizations have appeared in support of farmers on the Singu border. The song is playing. Farmers have also made symbolic crops. They planted vegetables in the divider in the middle of the road.
