A professor and chair of a department at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) has been infected with coronavirus.
Vice Chancellor Prof Dr on Thursday night. Conak Kanti Barua confirmed the matter.
The professor’s coronavirus was reported to be detected Wednesday in a laboratory undergoing coronavirus screening at the university.
Professor Dr. Conak Kanti Barua said: “He (that professor) has not attacked us from here. He went to different places. We have already said, send everyone who contacted him in recent days to isolation.
At the hospital closure, he said, “There are patients here. We have a policy: We will design the rooms wherever you go.”
Deputy Foreign Minister Barua said: “My last meeting with him was on March 25, and more than 3 days have passed.”
However, another doctor was injured and was admitted to the Kuwait Maitri Hospital for the past week, he said.
The total number of crowns in the country is six. And 25 people have died from the virus.
