Saudi Arabian Airlines did not issue boarding passes to 32 people as they brought corona test certificates to private companies. Flight SV3707 dropped them off at around 7:30 pm on Saturday (September 26). This information has been known by multiple sources from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Alamgir, uncle of Nur Islam, an expatriate from Keraniganj, said: ‘My nephew Nur Islam’s crown test was performed at Dhanmondi Ibn Sina Hospital. I come to the airport with that negative certificate. But he didn’t give my nephew a boarding pass.
According to relatives of expat Shahjahan, Shahjahan underwent a crown exam at Enam Medical Center. It was not mentioned at the time of ticket collection that the test must be done at the Mohakhali Corona Exam Center. But the tests were done at Enam Medical Center.
No statement was available from Saudi Arabian Airlines. It was not immediately clear if the passengers would be able to board another flight. Meanwhile, 32 people are inside the airport.
The government has launched the DNCC Corona sample collection booth for expats in Mohakhali. Airlines said passengers bound for Saudi Arabia should arrive at the airport within 48 hours with a negative corona report. Corona test is also spoken of from the government designated place for corona test.
Passengers must bring six copies of negative Covid-19 test results. Counting will begin 48 hours from the time of sample collection. Passengers must enter Saudi Arabia in compliance with Covid-19 health protection regulations and measures issued by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health.
Before boarding the plane, passengers must complete and sign the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health’s liability waiver form. The completed and signed form must be sent to the Airport Health Control Center upon arrival at the Saudi Arabian airport. Failure to comply with the instructions will result in the imposition of a hefty fine under Section 173 of the Civil Aviation Act.
