Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has praised China as one of Bangladesh’s most valuable partners for socio-economic development and continued assistance in the ongoing coronavirus epidemic.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her hope that the two countries can further strengthen ties by exploring new areas of cooperation. She wished the Chinese Prime Minister good health, happiness, peace, prosperity and progress to the friendly people of that country.
In the message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina stressed the friendly relations, values, national interests and mutual respect between China and Bangladesh.

According to the Chinese embassy, the head of government sent a congratulatory message to President Xi Jinping on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. He expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes to the Chinese government and people.
According to the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina recalled President Shir’s visit to Bangladesh in 2016 and his visit to China in 2019.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wished President Shir good health, longevity and happiness, as well as peace, progress and prosperity to the kind people of China.
Sheikh Hasina also sent a congratulatory message to Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.
Referring to the peace, progress and prosperity of the two countries, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina highlighted the strategic partnership of cooperation between China and Bangladesh in 2017.
Recalling his visit to China in 2019, Sheikh Hasina said that the two countries had reached consensus on various issues. She thanked China for helping Bangladesh in the current coronavirus epidemic.
