On the occasion of the Great Victory Day, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina sent fruits and sweets to the families of the freedom fighters and martyrs wounded in war.
The fruits and sweets were sent to the War-Wounded Freedom Warriors Rehabilitation Center (Freedom Fighter Tower-1) in Mohammadpur in the capital on Wednesday morning.
Gazi Hafizur Rahman Liku, Private Under Secretary to the Prime Minister-2 and ABM Sarwar-e-Alam Sarkar, Under Secretary of Press, transmitted them to war-wounded freedom fighters on behalf of the Prime Minister.
Relatives of war-wounded freedom fighters and martyred freedom fighters expressed their gratitude to the Prime Minister for commemorating them on all days and state festivals, such as Independence Day, Victory Day, Holy Eid and the Bengali New Year.
Freedom fighters and their families recently expressed deep concern over the desecration of Bangabandhu’s portrait and the efforts of the new racekars. They expressed their firm determination to resist any anti-state activity, including terrorist activities, in the name of religion, from the soil of independent Bangladesh at any cost. They called on the successors of the freedom fighters and future generations to lead in this regard.
The relatives of the wounded and martyred freedom fighters wished the Prime Minister good health and a long life.
