‘Our youth will not only run after jobs. It will give a job. You have to have that kind of mindset. We have to be entrepreneurs ourselves. ‘

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said this while addressing a function organized on Sunday (November 1) on the occasion of National Youth Day.

Mentioning that young people have a role to play in building Bangladesh, the Prime Minister said: “We will build young people on the ideals of the father of the nation. This is the age of work, the age of intellectual development. When the Awami League came to power, we emphasized job creation. Who will rule our country? Those are the youth of today.

Sheikh Hasina said: “Our youth will not just run after jobs. It will give a job. We want them to be able to do that. You have to have that kind of mindset. We have to be entrepreneurs ourselves. ‘

Regarding the recognition of self-employment in society, the Prime Minister said: “We have spoken with our Sajib Wazed Joy about the recognition of those who do self-employment to obtain a certificate.” Our ICT ministry is working on that. He said, ‘What is it like to be a freelancer in the marriage market? Why should I marry a girl here? In many cases, the college / university does not want to accept admission. They say their income is not regular. ‘

Sheikh Hasina said: ‘I know the self-employed have a problem. As there is no registration, no certificate, or recognition, many times many ask what do you do? If you say that many freelancers do not understand what it is about. Maybe no one will recognize it. ‘

The Prime Minister said that our ICT Ministry has taken the initiative in consultation with Sajeeb Wazed Joy (son of the Prime Minister and Information and Communications Technology Adviser). Our youth ministry has also taken the initiative. Those who do freelance work of this kind should be recognized. Receive a certificate or a certificate in your hands.
