President of Nepal pays tribute to Bangabandhu

The visiting president of Nepal, Vidya Devi Bhandari, paid tribute to the father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

He paid his respects by placing a wreath on Bangabandhu’s portrait at the premises of the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum on Dhanmondi No. 32 Road on Tuesday (March 23) at 11:30 a.m. Later he signed the inspection book and visited the museum.

Earlier, Sheikh Rehana, the youngest daughter of the father of the Bangabandhu nation, welcomed the President of Nepal at the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum. The Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Zahid Malek, and the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. Shahriar Alam was present at the time.

The President of Nepal arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 10 am on Monday to attend the centennial of the birth and Golden Jubilee celebrations of the nation’s father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. There, President Abdul Hamid greeted him with flowers. Vidya Devi Bhandari received a red carpet reception at the airport’s VVIP terminal. Subsequently, he paid tribute to the martyrs of the liberation war at the Savar National Monument.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid a courtesy visit to Nepal’s President Vidya Devi Bhandari at the Intercontinental Hotel in the capital on Monday afternoon. After that, Vidya Devi Bhandari joined the organized function in the National Parade Square. He spoke as a guest of honor at the event.
