Vidya Devi Bhandari received a red carpet reception at the airport’s VVIP terminal. He was met 21 times with artillery fire. When the President arrived at the reception with the President of Nepal, a well-equipped team of three forces provided an honor guard.

After inspecting the guard, President Abdul Hamid presented the presentation line to the President of Nepal.

Two large portraits of the two heads of state have been posted on either side of the VVIP terminal and a large caption on the terminal reads “Welcome O Distinguished Guest”.

Vidya Devi Bhandari left the airport for the National Monument in Savar to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs of the War of Liberation.

On the afternoon of the first day of the two-day visit, the President of Nepal will address the national parade grounds as the guest of honor to mark the centenary of Bangabandhu’s birth and the Golden Jubilee of Independence. President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will also be present on the occasion.

Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to meet the President of Nepal at the Intercontinental Hotel.

Vidya Devi Bhandari is scheduled to hold a meeting with the president in Bangabhaban in the evening after the parade ceremony in the afternoon. After the meeting, you will attend a state banquet in Bangabhaban and enjoy cultural programs.

On the second day of the visit, the President of Nepal will visit the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at 32, Dhanmondi, on Tuesday morning. There he will pay homage to the portrait of the Father of the Nation; It also has a program to visit the museum.

In the afternoon, Vidya Bhandari attended the ceremony at the Nepalese Embassy in Dhaka. It is scheduled to leave Dhaka at 3.30pm.

Vidya Devi Bhandari is the second and first female president of Nepal. Ram Baran Yadav was the country’s first president after the transition from a monarchy to a democratic system of government.

Before becoming president in 2015, he served as Vice Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) and Minister of Defense.

President Abdul Hamid visited Nepal in 2019 at his invitation.

Bangladesh has organized a 10-day program entitled ‘Mujib Chiranton’ on the golden jubilee of independence and the centenary of the birth of the nationalist Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohammed Salih and Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa have already joined the celebrations in Bangladesh. Bhutan Prime Minister Lotte Shering is scheduled to visit Dhaka on Wednesday and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday.
