He died at the Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in the capital on Thursday morning. Rashid, a former professor of mechanical engineering at the Bangladesh University of Engineering, was 6 years old.

Dhaka WASA Managing Director Taksim A Khan said he had been receiving treatment at the hospital since he was diagnosed with the Kovid-19 infection about a month and a half ago.

He told bdnews24.com that Professor MA Rashid had been in the ventilation of the Bangladesh Specialized Hospital since July 16 after being identified as Covid-19. When his condition improved, he was taken to the cabin on September 1. His Covid-19 was negative in the last sample test. But on September 3 his condition worsened again.

“He was admitted to the ICU again. His condition has been critical for the past three or four days. He died today. Doctors say that Kovid has lost part of the function of his organs. “

From 1975 to 2016, Professor MA Rashid was a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at BUET. The government appointed him chairman of the board of WASA in September last year.
