Preparations are underway to deal with the second wave of coronavirus

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that although the prevalence of the coronavirus in the country has decreased somewhat, there is a risk that it will rise further in the coming winter. Extensive preparations have been made to deal with the second corona wave and fears of increased infections in the winter.

House leader Sheikh Hasina made the remarks in response to a question from ruling party deputy Didarul Alam in Parliament on Wednesday. Spokesperson Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury chaired the meeting and the Prime Minister’s question and answer session was introduced at the table.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that instructions have been given to implement the ‘No mask, no service’ policy so that the crown does not increase in the upcoming winter season. He said detection at points of entry into the country continues. A 14-day quarantine has been made mandatory for returnees. A tripartite agreement has been signed between the Serum Institute of India and Beximco Pharma with the government to import 30 million vaccines. Additionally, the Prime Minister briefed Parliament on various initiatives in medical services, community engagement and infection control to combat corona infection.
