Popular American actress Down Wells, 72, has died of complications from the coronavirus. He took his last breath on Wednesday (December 30) in Los Angeles, USA.
The actress’s spokesperson, Harlan Ball, confirmed the actress’s death to the media in a statement.
Down Wales won the Miss Nevada title in 1959. She also participated in the Miss America pageant.
The star gained fame acting on the small screen. Wales gained immense popularity by starring in the television comedy series ‘Giligan’s Island’. The series aired from 1974 to 1986.
Tina Lewis, one of the ‘Giligan’s Island’ actresses, has expressed her deep sorrow over her death. “It saddens me to learn of Down’s death,” he said. I will always remember his kindness to me. ‘
Wells was born in Reno, Nevada. He has acted in more than 150 television series. Aside from acting, Wells was a producer, writer, journalist, motivational speaker, teacher, human rights activist, and environmentalist.
He received the Elephant Sanctuary Award in 1995 for his work in protecting elephant sanctuaries.
