Yuvraj hit six sixes in a Stuart Broad over against England in the 2006 T20 World Cup. Former South African batsman Herschelle Gibbs hit six sixes in an over against the Netherlands at the 2007 ODI World Cup. Pollard became the third batter. and the first West Indian cricketer to do so. Scored 36 of 11 balls. The West Indies won the match easily thanks to these stormy innings.
Sri Lanka batted first in yesterday’s game and scored 131 runs for 9 wickets. Pathum Nishank scored the 39 highest runs. Niroshan Dickwella scored 33 runs. West Indies led that race in 13.1 overs. Pollard hit six sixes off Dhananjay in the sixth over. Dhananjay took 3 wickets for 72 runs in 4 overs. He scored a triplet. In the fourth over of the West Indies innings, Dhananjay returned Evin Lewis (26), Chris Gayle (0) and Nicholas Puran (0) for the second, third and fourth balls, respectively. But his joy did not last long. With 4 wickets falling for 72 runs, Pollard hit the fold and changed the color of the game. Yuvraj became the second batter after Gibbs in international cricket and the first batter to reach six sixes in an over in a T20 match. His tickets are still carefully kept in the minds of cricket fans. In that Kingsmead match, the score was 161 out of 3 to 18 in India’s innings.
