Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered 24-hour flights to operate day and night from all the country’s airports, the Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Tourism said. Mahbub Ali.
He said that work is being done to operate 24-hour flights from all airports in the country according to these instructions. Cox’s Bazar Airport will operate 24-hour flights starting in February. Then, gradually, these activities will be carried out from all the other airports in the country.
He spoke at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport opening ceremony on Wednesday.
He further said, ‘Development work is underway at all international and domestic airports in the country. Once these development activities are completed, the country’s airports will be a place of trust and comfort for passengers. We work to achieve passenger satisfaction by improving the quality of service. Strict measures will be taken against anyone who works against the increase and development of passenger service at the airport.
Mahabub Ali said that no decision has yet been made to stop the flight from Bangladesh to the UK. However, he said the situation was being closely monitored.
