Son-in-law accused of killing his daughter. Jalil Duari, father-in-law, filed a lawsuit against Kawsar Gazi. During the hearing of the request for bail of that son-in-law (accused), Jalil said with an affidavit that his daughter had committed suicide. Impressed, he presented the murder case. Now he has no objection if Kawsar is released from the case.
In light of this, the High Court has ordered the Officer-in-Charge (CO) of the Patuakhali Police Station to bring a case under Article 211 of the Penal Code against Jalil Duari for filing a false case. Kawsar’s request for bail was heard by Judge Jahangir Hossain Selim and Judge Md. A virtual bank of a higher court made up of Badruzzaman approved the order on Tuesday.
According to the prosecution, on December 31, 2016, Kawsar Gazi’s wife, Sathi Akhter, was killed in Bara Gazi Bari in Bahal Gachia village of Patuakhali city. One case of unnatural death was recorded on January 1, 2019 in this incident. The five-year-old daughter of the murdered colleague gave a confessional statement about the case. According to the statement, her father and grandfather killed her mother by hitting her on the head with a stick. Later, his father tied a goat rope around his mother’s neck. The medical report indicates that the couple suffered a head injury and suffocation. Then, on March 12 of that year, Sathy’s father, Jalil Duari, filed a murder case against four people, including Kawsar Gazi, at the Patuakhali police station. Kawsar was arrested on March 14 of last year in that case.
