PK Haldar’s case came to court on Monday following a court petition filed by seven people seeking instructions to return money deposited with the ILFSL.
Following a preliminary hearing on the lawsuit, the High Court ordered the confiscation of the passports of 19 people on January 19, including PK Haldar, his mother, wife, brother and senior company officials.
Despite the order preventing them from leaving the country, media reports said PK Haldar had disappeared after looting money.
The court further ordered not to transfer your cash, vehicles, inventory and other personal and real property to any person or entity until the pending case is available.
Two ILFSL directors appealed to the Appellate Division challenging the Superior Court order.
Later, on February 28, the four-judge appeals court headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain dismissed his appeal and upheld the High Court order.
