These fish will soon enter West Bengal through the border between Benapole and Petrapole.

At present, various preparations are being made for the export of this fish, including quarantine orders, the export of this hilsa fish will start from next week.
He said that if the import of fish spiked suddenly, they would have to stay on the road if it was not exported. Fish per kg is currently 800-1000 rupees, but due to the price difference, some prices will be higher.
Hilsa trader Ajit Kumar Das Manu said: “Last year 500 metric tons of hilsa were also ordered for export. Of this, only 350 tons were from Mokam in Barisal. 80% of exports will come from Barisal.
According to local traders, news of the hilsa export has started to spread to the local market. The price of hilsa has increased by 10 percent. Now the fish is sold at Rs 900-1000 per kg.
