The BNP general secretary affirmed that the division of the Awami League has been extreme in the country and in society.
Pointing out the way to change this situation, he said: “We have to wake up the people of the country under the leadership of the leader whom the whole nation is looking to today for change.
“No movement will succeed if people are not awakened. We believe that through awakening we can achieve our change.”
Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, member of BNP’s standing committee, said: “The Awami League, the leaders of the Awami League have failed in that case, BNP and our martyr leaders of President Ziaur Rahman and Begum Khaleda Zia have succeeded in that case. That is why the government wants today to change history by force of arms ”.
Moudud Ahmed, a member of the permanent committee, said: “There is no democracy in the country, there is an authoritarian dictatorship disguised as democracy in the country.
That is why we have three agendas before us today. One organization, another movement, and choice. The work of the organization is done by our acting president. We are all trying to work with her to strengthen her hand. “
He stressed the need to bring together all the democratic-minded democratic forces in the country under one umbrella for the movement. He also suggested building a united platform with professionals and intellectuals.
Mirza Abbas, a member of the Standing Committee, said: “We have actively fought in the liberation war. Let me say one thing, the Awami League has heard the story of independence after returning to the independent country, they have heard the story of how this country became independent, who made it independent, who made it independent.
