The Police Investigations Office (PBI) has launched an investigation into the murder of Raihan Uddin, who was tortured to death at the Bandarbazar outpost in Sylhet.

A PBI team began investigating the case Wednesday afternoon after being charged with the investigation Tuesday night.

At around 12 noon, the investigation team led by PBI Sylhet Police Superintendent Khaleduzzaman visited the Bandarbazar outpost and found any signs of the incident.

At that time, the investigation team surrounded the area of ​​the Bandarbazar outpost with “crime scene” tape.

Among the PBI agents who came to the Bandarbazar outpost to investigate Wednesday afternoon was the Police Superintendent. Khaleduzzaman, Official Investigation Inspector Mohidul Islam and Inspector Jahangir Hossain.

Raihan Ahmed, 33, from Akhalia in Sylhet was killed in the early hours of Sunday (October 11). Police first reported that Raihan was killed in a massive beating in a wooded area of ​​the city by kidnapping.

However, after receiving the family’s statement in the afternoon, the incident took a turn for another day. The family claimed that Raihan was tortured to death at the Sylhet Metropolitan Police outpost in Bandar Bazar.
