Parade of the Bangladeshi armed forces in the streets of New Delhi

The Bangladesh Armed Forces participated in a state parade through the streets of New Delhi on the occasion of the 72nd Republic Day of India.

An Armed Forces marching band took to the streets of New Delhi around 9:30 am local time on Tuesday to take part in a parade with the popular song ‘Shoon ek mujibar to lakh mujibar kanthasvar dhani-echo’.

President Ram Nath Kobind received the salute of the Armed Forces of Bangladesh and India at the parade. Present at the time were Indian Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and members of the cabinet.

The lieutenant led a contingent of 122 members of the armed forces comprising the Bangladeshi Army, Navy and Air Force. Colonel Abu Mohammad Shahnoor Shaon.

The High Commission of India has invited the Bangladesh Armed Forces to participate in the Republic of India 72 Day Parade on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the ‘Mujib Year’ and the Golden Jubilee of the independence.

Due to the Corona epidemic, the organization of Republic Day has been limited. No child under the age of 15 was allowed to participate in the parade.
