India beat Australia by 8 wickets in the second T20 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. They are 2-0 up in the three-game series.
Matthew Wade’s devastating fifty helped Australia to 194 of five in 20 overs after losing the draw. With two balls remaining, Kohli’s team reached the goal.
It is the second highest chase in T20I on Australian soil. India has won nine T20 in a row, the third in a row in this edition.
Dhawan and Lokesh Rahul put India into orbit early on with a great hit. Andrew Tie, who played for Australia two years later, broke the 56-run starting position by firing the Indian goalie-hitter.
Adam Jampa didn’t let Dhawan, who made fifty of 34 balls, go far. The left arm batter scored 52 runs in 4 fours and 2 sixes.
So Kohli led the team. He made 40 of 24 balls after making all the big shots. The best hitter of the time returned with a catch in the hands of the goalkeeper on the newcomer goalkeeper Daniel Sam.
Towards the end of the Pandya storm, Australian bowling became random. The off-roader scored 36 runs in the final three overs to lead the team to victory. He was undefeated in 42 of 22 balls with three fours and two sixes.
Australia’s regular captain Aaron Finch did not play in Sunday’s game due to injury, led by Wade. This goalie-batter fell in the opening and attacked the Indian bowlers. Deepak Chahar hit three limits in the first over of innings.
At the other end, T Natarajan broke the initial 48-run partnership by returning Darcy Short, another starter who only accompanied the left-arm hitter. However, Wade’s hitting didn’t stop.
He continued to increase the career with Steven Smith. 25 is the second T20 fifty of his career. Hardik Pandya once made a life in the middle of the field with 39 runs. After the fifth, he survived again at the hands of Virat Kohli, although he was left without him. His last innings were 56 on 32 balls with 10 fours and a six.
Smith and Glenn Maxwell breathed a sigh of relief after Wade. However, his partner did not last long. Maxwell stopped the storm with a 22-run bunt. Smith then proceeded with Moisés Henriques. Smith was fired for 47, Henriques made 26.
Australia had a great collection in recent cameos from Marcus Stones, who returned to the team after recovering from injury. In the end, of course, that was not enough.
Natarajan has done his best between pitchers for both teams in the hitters game. The left arm pacemaker took two wickets for 20 runs in 4 overs.
The last T20 of the series will be next Tuesday, on the same terrain.
