The mobile court has fined the organizer Tk 1 lakh for organizing the wedding without following health rules.
The fine was imposed on the Rasuighar Chinese restaurant and the party center on Haji Mohsin Road in Chandpur on Friday afternoon. The mobile court was headed by the Executive Magistrate of the Deputy Magistrate’s Office. Ujjwal Hossain.
Executive Magistrate. Ujjwal Hossain said that a public notice has already been issued in Chandpur to avoid the crown. Subsequently, the mobile court operation was carried out since the morning following the instructions of the deputy commissioner. The last warning was given in the morning by going to some party centers in the city and carrying out an alert campaign.
He added that he arrived at the party center called Rasuighar around 3 in the afternoon and saw that they were not obeying anything. Meal arrangements are being made with more than 200 people. Therefore, the owner of the party center and the organizer of the event were fined a total of Tk 1 lakh each according to Section 269 of Penal Code 180.
The prisoners are: Abdul Latif, a teacher from the village of Daychhara in Faridganj upazila, the owner of the Rasuighar Chinese restaurant and party center and the organizer of the meeting.
Meanwhile, nine people were fined 1,900 taka for not following health regulations in different parts of the city.
