Bangladesh and Sri Lanka were to return to international cricket in the middle of the coronation period. The Tigers were unable to go to the island in the end. The England cricket team will tour Sri Lanka to play two tests in January next year. They don’t have to go there and quarantine. SLC Executive Director Ashley de Silva said the England team will recover from a 14-day quarantine in their home country before setting foot in Sri Lanka. The English team will set foot in Sri Lanka after completing the required 14-day quarantine. The Sri Lankans will play two preparation matches against each other, even if they don’t play a preparation match there.
The Sri Lankan team will tour South Africa in December before the England team arrives in their country. There they will play a two-game test series. Surprisingly, Sri Lankan cricketers don’t have to go to South Africa and stay in quarantine! The Bangladesh cricket team was scheduled to tour Sri Lanka on September 27. But with this tour, SLC imposed some tough conditions on Bangladesh, including a 14-day quarantine. The BCB requested a 7-day quarantine but the Lankan board did not comply.
