The NDA alliance won the assembly elections in the Indian state of Bihar. The NDA alliance with the ruling BJP and its allies won 125 seats. The RJD-led grand alliance won the second-highest 110 seats in the elections. Others got the remaining 6 seats.
However, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) of Tejaswi Yadav won the most 75 seats as the only party in the elections. On the other hand, BJP only got 64 seats. Prime Minister Nitish Kumar’s JDU party ranked third with 43 seats. However, Nitish Kumar will be the third chief minister of the state.
The counting of votes for the 243-seat assembly in Bihar began Tuesday morning. It takes 123 seats to obtain a majority to form a government. The BJP formed an alliance with Prime Minister Nitish Kumar’s party. And the great opposition alliance is led by the RJD of Tejaswi Yadav. He is currently the son of former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is currently in a corruption case.

Although Tejaswi Yadav’s RJD won the most seats as a single party, its allies have been unable to form a government as the other parties have not done as well as expected. The party led by Bihar’s chief minister Nitish Kumar will form the majority government.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated young voters on Nitish Kumar’s victory. Union Interior Minister Amit Shah congratulated the youth and women of the state.
The BJP had previously announced that Nitish Kumar would be the state’s prime minister if the NDA alliance won the majority. As promised by the BJP, it can be assumed that Nitish Kumar will once again be the Chief Minister of Bihar.
