Rajshahi: Rajshahi Police Officer in Charge (CO) in Katakhali, Zillur Rahman, has been removed from the police line for wearing faulty clothing to mark the centenary of the birth of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day.

Earlier, after the matter came to his attention, the police headquarters ordered him to leave the police station.

He said the police have a specific dress code to attend any national or government function. And even while on duty, there are specific instructions on police uniforms. But the Katakhali OC Zillur Rahman Police Station has violated the dress code at national and government functions. Last night he was removed from the police station for this crime.
Earlier on Wednesday, Katakhali Police Officer in Charge (CO) Zillur Rahman attended a function organized by Paba Upazila Parishad in Rajshahi to mark the centenary of Bangabandhu’s birth. He then went to Paba Upazila Parishad to pay tribute to the portrait of the Father of the Bangabandhu Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. So he wore a robe. He wears a white shirt and a tie inside. He also wears a flood cap on his head. The police dress code was not followed.
At the end of the show, OC Zillur Rahman posted the image on his Facebook page. The matter was later brought to the attention of AIG Media at the Dhaka Police Headquarters. Therefore, on Wednesday evening the RMP commissioner was informed about the problem of the violation of the dress code.
Later that night, the RMP commissioner removed OC Zillur Rahman from the OC post at the Katakhali Police Station and attached him to the police line. After receiving the order, he left the police station on Wednesday night and went to the police line.
