Dismissed Officer-in-Charge (OC) from Teknaf Police Station Pradeep Kumar Das, charged in the murder case of retired Army Major Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan, has been transferred from Cox’s Bazar District Jail to prison of Chittagong. He was taken to Chittagong Central Jail to appear in court in a case brought by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), jail authorities said.

Jail Superintendent Kamal Hossain confirmed that the vehicle carrying Pradeep Kumar Das arrived at Chittagong Central Jail at 12:50 p.m. He added: “It will be filed in the Chittagong Metropolitan Court on September 14 (Monday) in a case brought by the ACC alleging illegal acquisition of assets.”
On August 23, the case against Pradeep Kumar Das and his wife Chumki was brought to the ACC-affiliated District 1 office. Riaz Uddin.
