France is often seen making fun of Islam and its prophets and messengers in various ways. Earlier, a magazine in the country had sparked a discussion mocking the Prophet (peace be upon him).
But this time at the center of the debate is French President Emmanuel Macron himself. He has been accused of insulting Islam and its most respected human being, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
The Muslim world is in arms over the accusations. In protest, several Arab trade associations have announced a boycott of French products. Bangladesh has also responded to that call.
Many Muslim celebrities around the world also encouraged others to boycott French products. This time, Nusrat Faria Mazhar, a popular film actress from Dhaka, called for a boycott of French products. He also said that he had thrown away an expensive watch from the French brand.
The actress said this on a Facebook status on October 30. There he wrote: “I am throwing the watch in my (French band) cart.” Later, Faria called for a boycott of French products through a hashtag. Thousands of followers have applauded his decision. Many also reacted ‘haha’ to that publication.
Meanwhile, Nusrat Faria is currently busy with a movie titled ‘Patalghar’. Additionally, he is scheduled to take part in the filming of the web movie ‘If … But … Still’ starting on November 8. He will also return for the filming of the movie ‘Operation Sundarbans’.
