Dhaka: The Bangladesh Administration Services Association has claimed that the attack on Ghoraghat Upazila Nirbahi (UN) officer Wahida Khanam in Dinajpur was not a robbery incident.
Helaluddin Ahmed, president of the Bangladesh Administrative Services Association and chief secretary of the local government department, made the remarks at a press conference in the BIAM auditorium in the capital on Saturday (September 5) afternoon.
The organization’s secretary general and the secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Sheikh Yusuf Harun, were present at the time.
On Wednesday (September 2), criminals broke the fan in UNO Wahida’s official residence, entered the house and attacked Wahida and her father. UNO was subsequently admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RAMEC) in critical condition. After that, her condition was critical and she was taken to Dhaka by helicopter for better treatment.
