The government has banned access to government services without a mask to combat the possible second wave of Kovid-19 infection. As per the government decision, as of now, no government service provider can enter without wearing a mask.
Recently, letters have been sent from the Cabinet Division to all government ministries and departments, senior secretaries, secretaries, 6 division commissioners of the country, deputy commissioners of 64 districts of the country and all Upazila Nirbahi (UN) officials of the country .
The order, signed by Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam, read: “To ensure the possible use of masks to combat the possible second wave of Kovid-19 infection, use reusable cloth masks in all cases except the ones people doing medical work. Banners without a mask or ‘No mask, no entry’ or ‘Wear a mask, take the service or wire mask door service.’ It is necessary to ensure the implementation of the instructions of the circulars issued for the prevention of Covid-19.
The directive also states that one must ensure that one does not go to offices, courts, shopping malls, markets, social or state functions without a mask and does not receive any help, cooperation or service.
